February Community Lunch

We are hosting a community lunch next Saturday, February 7 from 12-1:30pm in the BSU Lounge (50-105). This is a recurring event where members of the MIT community come together to eat, socialize, and hear from a guest speaker. Please RSVP here. Social Justice in Practice Info Session

The Department of Urban Studies and Planning’s Communities Innovators Lab (CoLab) and the Students of Color Committee (SCC) are co-hosting an information and discussion session entitled Social Justice in Practice that will highlight the social and racial justice work these two groups are engaged in at MIT and beyond as well as exciting new opportunities for student involvement in real-life, community-based planning and development projects. Lunch will be provided. CoLab supports the development and use of knowledge from excluded communities to deepen civic engagement, improve community practice, inform policy, mobilize community assets, and generate shared wealth. CoLab facilitates the interchange of knowledge and resources between MIT and community organizations.
